Community Landcare

Supporting Local Landholders in the Bridgetown-Greenbushes Area.

Bridgetown-Greenbushes Community Landcare provides free information, resources, and support to landholders within the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes.

We offer landholders water testing, weed and plant identification services, loan tree planting and fauna monitoring equipment, assist landholders with funding applications, project activities, revegetation advice and provide the community with educational opportunities through workshops and field days.

With the support of the Helping Hands Bushcarers, a local group of conservation minded volunteers, the Bridgetown-Greenbushes Community Landcare Officer undertakes fortnightly maintenance activities within many of the Shire managed reserves.

These activities include weed control, historic and current rubbish removal, revegetation, walk-trail maintenance, seed collection, fauna data collection and school-based planting activities.

The Helping Hands Bushcarers are always looking for new members, we meet the first and third Thursday morning of each month to undertake a few hours work in a designated reserve.

If you have a few hours to spare each month and would like to give back to your local community and environment, whilst meeting new people please fill out one of our Volunteer Registration Forms.
